Blast and Pressure
Krieger's blast and pressure doors are used in commercial, government (UFC, ATFP or others), and industrial (PIP) installations to protect personnel and property from explosions and explosion borne missiles.

Each door is engineered to the desired resistance level and manufactured to the size, style, and finish requested.

100 PSF, 1.0 PSI, 2.0 PSI, 3.0 PSI

Custom engineered available up to:
20.0 PSI static load

Configuration
Security and blast doors are available in flush design or with vision lights and as single or pairs of hinged doors, including single or bi-parting horizontal sliding doors. All assemblies are available manual or power operated.

Frame Configuration
Krieger offers standard frame designs and can engineer special frame profiles to complement wall construction and architectural style.
Fire Labels and Positive Pressure
Up to 3 Hours:
UL 10C, UBC 7-2, UBC 7-4 250º, 450º, 650º temperature rise, up to 3 hours UL 10C.

Smoke Labels:
Up to 20 minutes

Available on the pre-engineered models. At custom engineered pressure levels, consult with factory.
Hardware
Swing door hardware includes modified builders' hardware or Krieger manufactured locks and hinges as required by blast rating.

Slide door hardware includes low friction trucks and rollers, low voltage control circuitry for electrical operators, and a variety of operator actuation devices.

Multi-point Lock
Doors can be fitted with a multi-point lock or SAT device and continuous hinging systems for added protection.
Tornado and Hurricane Doors
Krieger offers doors designed to meet the ICC 500 for tornado and hurricane safe rooms. The blast and pressure doors are designed to resist the wind speeds designated in ASCE 7 and the higher wind speeds designated in the ICC 500. The doors are also ADA Compliant.

Note: FEMA does not certify products, but doors which have passed ICC 500 testing meet or exceed FEMA P-361 safe room criteria.

Blast Door Construction
Formed, heavy gauge, steel face sheets constructed around a custom engineered, steel rib core with interior armor plate as required to protect against specified blast level.
Performance Combinations
KriegerBlast security doors, blast doors and windows can be manufactured for multiple performance requirements including acoustical, bullet resistance, thermal protection, radio frequency shielding or any combination thereof.
Glass
Tested and certified acoustical glass or fire rated glass and glazing materials are available.
Sizes
Standard and custom sizes available. No limits.
