University of Redlands

The on-campus electrical plant expansion project at the University of Redlands in California
required powerful oversized acoustical doors to provide access to plant machinery while preventing
noise leakage. In all, Krieger produced seven oversized acoustical doors of varying dimensions
for the brand-new facility powering the university.

Krieger created a
3" thick, 188" by 158" door and frame rated
STC 55 for the project.

The 1 ¾" thick, 36" by 86" door and frame rated
STC 51 next to the larger 188" by 158" door.

One of the four 1 ¾" thick, 36" by 86" rated STC 45 doors and frames Krieger manufactured
for the project.

The project also included a 2 ⅛" thick 100" by 86" door and frame rated
STC 50.
