Cal State Fullerton
The innovative new performing arts center at Cal State Fullerton presented a variety of challenges
for the design team, including acoustical and unique shapes and materials. Krieger provided a variety
of doors, including a unique set of six doors that had to blend into the façade of the convex walls.

Each door leaf, weighing nearly 2,200 pounds, is fitted with custom hinges that enable the door to first push out and then swing open.
The custom hinges are attached to the structural steel tubes making it possible for the doors to open flat against the wall.
